Fig. 8 — NOVELTY BANK. Patented June 25, 1872 and October 28, 1873, by C. C. Johnson, Somerville, Massachusetts, inventor. Marked Novelty Bank on door. Constructed of cast-iron parts. Operation: when front door is opened, teller advances and receives the coin which he deposits in the back; the door swings from one side.
