This /foundry section is devoted to the study of toy banks and the processes used to manufacture them. Information covers both cast iron still and mechanical banks, and also is relevant to other iron toys.  If you have related material that you think should be posted in this section, please contact Fritz Kokesh or the MBCA Webmaster.

Research

In this section original research can be downloaded, viewed, and printed. The most recent additions include a two-part article on variations of cast iron mechanical banks, and an 8th supplement to the casting series that deals with operation of the cupola and melting and pouring of the iron. Downloadable files are in PDF format that can be viewed on virtually any computer using free Adobe Reader applications.
