Fig. 3 — SLOGAN BANK. Patented March 8, 1870, by F. W. Smith, Bridgeport, Connecticut, inventor. Constructed of cast-iron parts. Operation: coin is dropped in slot in roof of four-sided house; one of four mottoes appears; Give Me a Penny; Thank You; One More; Do So Again. In variant photograph swings back of round window. It is probable that no surviving example has been discovered by any collector.
